Penang Barisan Nasional chairman Teng Chang Yeow has accepted DAP secretary general Lim Guan Engs challenge for a face off in the upcoming 13th general election but will decide the battle ground.
Teng also said Lim must show his commitment to the people of Penang by only contesting in one seat.
Speaking to reporters, Teng thanked Lim for proposing Padang Kota for the face off between the two state leaders.
He added Lim's proposal showed that the Penang Chief Minister is open to any seats, of which he will reveal if Lim agrees not to contest for a parliamentary seat.
The Gerakan secretary-general also said that the last four crucial face-offs between BN and DAP giants were determined on DAP's terms.
As such, it is only fair that in this contest, BN gets to decide on which seat to challenge Lim.
To a question, Teng said he will not reveal the constituency he will contest if Lim wishes to contest in both the state and parliamentary setas.
