Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has pledged to continue his father, Tun Abdul Razak Hussein's mission to develop the rural areas of Sarawak.

The premier today said he was not satisfied with the level of development in the state, adding that he would follow in the footsteps of his father, who was Malaysia's second prime minister, and would finish what he started.

Speaking during his walkabout in Kabong, Datuk Seri Najib, who is also BN chairman, stressed that Sarawak could only progress under the ruling coalition.

Also present during his visit, were BN candidate for Kabong Mohd Chee Kadir and fellow Kalaka candidate Datuk Abdul Wahab Aziz.
