Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem made waves when he arrived at Sekolah Kebangsaan Merpati Jepang to cast his vote for the state election this morning.

As voters were queuing, waiting for their turn to cast their respective ballots, their attentions were redirected, when Tan Sri Adenan arrived at 9.10 am.

The Sarawak BN chairman, who is contesting for the Tanjong Datu seat, was accompanied by his wife Puan Sri Jamilah Anu.

Many who had already cast their vote then swarmed the Chief Minister to shake his hand and take pictures with him.

The school is one of the polling stations under the Satok constituency.

Also casting his vote at the same station was Satok seat incumbent Datuk Abang Johari Openg, who is going against PKR's, Mohammad Salleh Shawkatali.

The Sarawak Housing Minister and Tourism Minister has been a BN assemblyman since 1983.
